How I got started, in essence

We need the entire world aware of the state of coral reefs.

The “perfect” way to make a change is to get up and be the change. Stop waiting for anyone else to do anything else. You, me and every other person on this planet, we’re all part of the problem, are we not?

Please start this very instant. Tomorrow is always tomorrow, and a few years will always be in a few years, it never arrives. If the person next to you won’t change, they might be toxic and don’t deserve your companionship. If people start leaving the reinforcers of the problems then that will start sending a clear message. If they are not with you, or against you, remember they are still not with you. Let that sink in for a minute, they’re not with you.

In January 2018 my girlfriend Joy invited me to help volunteer with her at a ‘Fins Attached’ fundraising event for shark conservation.

We listened to guest speakers from, all over north America. When the father of Rob Stewart of Sharkwater spoke and said that the great barrier reef could be dead in as little as 5 years…

In that instant, I knew that I had to get out and start helping the corals survive and thrive. Human influence & their willingness to destroy our blue planet is a serious threat to the reefs. I figured that I could actually make an impact working to save the reefs.

My brother always said, “either you’re with me or you’re not. I’m not saying you’re against me, but if you’re not with me, then you’re not with me.” I always found that to be a great statement to put things into perspective. If they’re not with you, they’re not worth you. Go and be the change, you’ll find the people who are with you!
